On the way back from surfing on Captiva yesterday, stopped along the Sanibel Causeway for some bird spotting. This snowy egret and his friend were picking off little pilchards (baitfish) in super shallow water.
My house backs up to a conservation, so I get to see quite a bit of wildlife on a daily basis. This is a local red shouldered hawk, checking out the sunrise this weekend.
Back in June, we took a quick trip up to North Carolina to attend a friend's wedding and visit some family. The hummingbirds were having a great time out back, and cooperated for a few split seconds so I could get a few pictures.
