Spot Check from today. Hope everyone got some fun ones. Stay on the grind, tomorrow should be serving up some good ones too. Should have some more pictures up by tomorrow.
New York was pretty big for our Northeast standards, and pretty out of control. If you could stay in position, there were some epic waves coming through. Above is one of the best waves I’ve seen in a long time. Looks like the next few days should be good, should have a gallery up later this week. Stay on the grind!
spot checking, sunday 3/14/2010. Nobody out, bombing and out of control.
Fortunately/Unfortunately I was down in Puerto Rico for this swell, but Surfline.com put together a nice group of shots from guys like Lusk, Struck, and Conway. Really good stuff, Check it out at http://www.surfline.com/wct-contest-zone/east-coast-end-of-winter-swell_41626/
After a few feet of snow and an overall miserable winter in New York, it was time to get some swell down South. Just put up a new gallery of a few shots of New York going off, and then a week long excursion down in Puerto Rico. Check out the full gallery at www.northeastsessions.com

So the Northeast is back in another flat spell, what else is new. Lets hope for some waves soon. These are just a few shots from earlier today down by the bay. Nice sunset and some little micro grinders coming in.
Mark Petrocelli Getting some cover this past Sunday in New York.
Another little gem from yesterday. Pretty cool I surfed that by myself after taking the shot.
sifting through some more shots found this one of my buddy Matt Hannsgen SLASHING this one on the inside.
Sunday was one of the coldest days I’ve surfed. Dawn patrol was 16 degrees with 20 MPH winds out of the NW making for some real brisk conditions. I was surprised how many people made it out in New York to get some fun waves this little East swell provided. Full gallery up at www.northeastsessions.com
I really suggest everyone check out this feature. I have to say that it is one of the best photo galleries out there. I’m not 100% sure but I believe all of the photography is from New Hampshire Local Photographer Brian Nevins. Every picture is just classic and makes me miss the vibes of surfing in New Hampshire. Surfing there for 4 years throughout college wasn’t always the best, but when things came together, the surfing and scenery and people can be hard to beat. Def check this out at http://www.getinthevan.com/ilovenh.html. Be sure to check out the other galleries Get In the Van has too. Great site, big props!
Damn, last week was good in Jersey. Above is another shot from last Tuesday in Northern Jersey. Rights just honkin down the beach. Might be some fun waves this weekend with this little snow storm coming through. Keep an eye on it.
Tuesday proved to be a sick day in the Dirty. Tubes for everyone, good lighting, and a great break from the month of flatness. Check out the ESM Feature, “Spell Broken” with some great shots from all the ESM guys. I got 2 shots in there, 12 and 14. That is at www.easternsurf.com . For a full gallery of Tuesday’s swell, check out www.northeastsessions.com
