Usually each summer in New York, there is a month of straight flatness. Hopefully June was that month, because I don’t know what I’ll do if there is another month of flatness. Finally things turned up a notch this past weekend out on Long Island. I got my fix of solid waves Saturday night and didn’t snap one picture, but let a few rounds off after a fun session Sunday morning. More pictures will be up tomorrow night.

After 3 long flat weeks, finally some swell showed up in New York. The wind was pretty light and there were a few decent waves coming through here and there. Got a good view from the inside of this glassy insider.

After strong onshores all day and that loud, annoying, beeping coming from every radio and TV signaling a tornado watch for Long Island, the winds went strong offshore, sun was shining and there were some little sets coming through. More pictures over at our Facebook Page. ;

This morning had some fun little waves before the wind came up. Had a fun solo dawn patrol. Maybe some more surf for the middle of next week.
